- MCQ Section – Prose, Poem, এবং Drama বিভাগ থেকে 4টি করে মোট 12টি MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) থাকবে। প্রতিটি প্রশ্নের মান 1 করে, অর্থাৎ এই অংশের মোট নম্বর 12।
- SAQ (Short Answer Questions) – Prose এবং Poem বিভাগ থেকে 4টি করে মোট 8টি SAQ থাকবে। প্রতিটি প্রশ্নের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট নম্বর দেওয়া হবে, এবং এই অংশের মোট নম্বর 8।
- Descriptive Questions – Prose, Poem এবং Drama থেকে 5টি বর্ণনামূলক প্রশ্ন থাকবে। এই অংশের মোট নম্বর 30।
- Do as Directed – Grammar Section-এ Sentence Transformation (বাক্য রূপান্তর) সম্পর্কিত 6টি Grammar Questions থাকবে, যার জন্য মোট নম্বর 6।
- Article & Preposition – এই বিভাগে 6টি প্রশ্ন থাকবে এবং মোট নম্বর 3।
- Comprehension – এই অংশে True/False (সত্য-মিথ্যা যাচাই) ভিত্তিক 4 নম্বরের প্রশ্ন থাকবে।
- Error Correction – একটি বাক্যের ভুল সংশোধন করতে হবে। প্রশ্নের সঙ্গে সম্ভাব্য সঠিক শব্দের তালিকা থাকবে, যেখান থেকে সঠিক শব্দটি নির্বাচন করে বাক্যে বসাতে হবে।
- Creative Writing (রচনাধর্মী প্রশ্ন) – 3টি বর্ণনামূলক প্রশ্নে 30টি শব্দের মধ্যে উত্তর লিখতে হবে।
- Writing Section – Report Writing, Editorial Letter & Precis Writing এই তিনটি রচনার জন্য মোট 10 নম্বর থাকবে।
HS English PROSE: উচ্চমাধ্যমিক ইংরেজি গল্প বা গদ্য
তোমাদের গদ্য থেকে চারটি প্রশ্ন দেওয়া থাকবে দুটি করতে হবে। তার মানে তোমরা যে কোন দুটি গদ্য যেগুলি আগের বছর পড়েনি, ভালো করে করে গেলে উত্তর ঠিক লেখা আসতে পারবে। তবে রিক্স না নিতে চাইলে দেওয়া তিনটে গদ্যই তোমাদের জন্য খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

3.” Forgive me”—Who said this to whom? Why did he ask forgiveness of the Tsar? How was he forgiven? What did the Tsar do when he gained him as a friend? What was the commitment given by the person spoken to?
POEM: উচ্চ মাধ্যমিক ইংরেজি কবিতা
কবিতা থেকেও তোমাদের দুটো প্রশ্ন করতে হবে চারটে দেওয়া থাকবে। কম বেশি 100 শব্দের মধ্যে তোমাদের উত্তর লিখতে হবে। মানে ধরতে পারো একপাতা মতো উত্তর তোমাদের মোটামুটি লিখতে হবে। কবিতার ক্ষেত্রে তোমরা সারাংশ বা সামারিটা খুব ভালো করে করে যাবে তাহলেই তোমরা লাইন তুলে যে প্রশ্নগুলো দেওয়া থাকবে সেগুলোর উত্তর নিজের মতো ভাষায় গুছিয়ে লিখে আসতে পারবে।

The Proposal – Anton Chekhov : নাটক (HS English PLAY)
ইংরেজির ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটা পাঠ হলো এই নাটক “দ্য প্রপোজাল”-টা (The proposal ) এখান থেকে তোমাদের একটা প্রশ্ন করতেই হবে। এটার কোন অল্টারনেটিভ নেই, তবে এখানে তোমাদের তিনটে প্রশ্ন দেওয়া থাকবে তোমাদের যে কোন একটি উত্তর করতে হবে। অনেক সময় লাইন তুলে প্রশ্ন করে, কে বলেছে কার উক্তি এরকম জিজ্ঞাসা করা হয় সে ক্ষেত্রে পার্ট নম্বর থাকে অথবা সরাসরি ডাইরেক্ট পাঁচ নম্বরের উত্তর লিখতে দেওয়া হয়।

GRAMMAR & VOCABULARY
গ্রামার এবং ভোকাবুলারি-এর ক্ষেত্রে একমাত্র উপায় হল Textual Grammer এবং লাইন ধরে ধরে প্র্যাকটিস করা। কি ধরনের ন্যারেশন চেঞ্জ? কি ধরনের ভয়েস চেঞ্জ রয়েছে – আর্টিকেল প্রিপজিশন এই গুলো খুব ভালো করে সতর্ক রাখা, এগুলোর তো কোনো সাজেশন হয় না তাই তোমরা নিজেদের মতো টেস্ট পেপার ধরে প্র্যাকটিস করলে এটা ভালো আয়ত্তে আনতে পারবে।

Paper and Current Newspapers. Grammar section may contain Narration change, Article and
Preposition, Error finding etc.
WRITING SKILLS
উচ্চ মাধ্যমিকের রাইটিং স্কিল কিন্তু মাধ্যমিকের থেকে অনেকটাই সহজ এখানে মাত্র তোমাদের একটাই রাইটিং লিখতে হবে তাও আবার শুধুমাত্র লেটার রাইটিং বা রিপোর্ট রাইটিং। তার সঙ্গে সামারি রাইটিং একটা রয়েছে যদিও সেটা অতটা ভালো নাম্বার ওঠে না।
Letter Writing
তোমরা এডিটোরিয়াল চিঠি বা লেটার রাইটিং এর একটা ফরমেট ঠিকঠাক করে গেলে যে কোন অফিশিয়াল চিঠি পড়লে তোমরা লিখে দিতে পারবে। আর প্রতিটা স্টেপ এর উপর নম্বর রয়েছে, তাই সঠিক নিয়মকানুন মানলে চিঠি লেখাতে ভালো নম্বর ওঠে।
1) Write a letter to the editor of an English daily expressing your concerned over the pollution caused by frequent use of Polythene.
2) Write a letter to the editor of an English daily expressing Your Grave concerned over the excessive use of microphones and loudspeaker during the festivals.
3) Write a letter to the O.C Reporting the Loss of Mobile Phone. (Admit/ Document/Cycle)
4) Write a letter to the Bank Manager for opening a savings account.
5) Letter to the Headmaster Requesting Special Classes After the Test Exam

রিপোর্ট রাইটিং যেকোনো কারেন্ট অ্যাফেয়ার্স বা যেকোনো ঘটনা থেকে দেওয়া হয়, তাই এক্ষেত্রে লেখার ধরণের এবং নিয়ম-কানুন এর উপর বেশি নজর দিতে হবে নিচের যেগুলো দেওয়া রয়েছে এগুলোর মধ্যে তোমরা যদি প্র্যাকটিস করে যাও, যাই পড়ুক তোমরা লিখে দিতে পারবে।
